Captain Ron Jones is the ultimate fishing professional. I've fished the area for over 25 years and Ronnie has been our "go to" guide since 1998. I book my trips around the tides and Ronnie's availability. If he's not available I change my dates. I fish other areas around the south and have never found a guide as consistently productive and professional as Captain Ron. We frequently need 2 or more boats and Captain Ron has a great network of excellent captains he adds to our trip. Unfortunately, we are usually so successful I have to lie to others to make our trip believable. For instance on our last trip 3 of us landed over 200 redfish, blues and snook in a 2 hour period at one site, with most of the redfish slot size or bigger. Steady cast and catch. Hard to believe but true. It's not unusual for us to have 100 fish or more on an inshore trip. Folks that haven't fished the harbor or fished with Ronnie can't believe the stories we have. With well over a hundred days fishing with Ronnie we've only had one day with less than 50 fish caught and that was about 30 in very windy conditions. I'm just glad I'm older than Captain Ron as I dread the day he calls it quit. One of our buddies fishing for the first time with Ronnie on that trip said it was a trip of a lifetime and I laughed and said for us it was is just another great day with Captain Ron and Charlotte Harbor Charter Company. For a "fintastic" day on the water book with Captain Ron. He's the best.

Captain Ron has to be the very best captain we’ve ever been with and we’ve been with a lot of them. He made absolutely sure that his customers catch fish he’s very professional and very fun to fish with. He teaches you as you’re fishing so you pick up a lot of good information and it’s pretty exciting when two fisherman both are onto giant redfish. You couldn’t ask for a better captain who was more concerned about his customers and their enjoyment of the day. Everything was just perfect. Captain Ron is a true Southern Gentleman and provides great local fishing Knowledge. He consistently puts us on fish and seems to know when and where the fish are going to be. Great boat and great tackle. I highly recommend Captain Ronnie.

Ron was great! I highly recommend using him as a guide. I had some family visiting and between them, me and my father we caught over 100 fish in 4 hours! My first cast, as soon as the bait slapped the water I hooked a fish. On top of that the tide was slow and Ron expected the fish to be slow as well. The fish were not slow at all. I will definitly use him again and hopefully sooner then later. Thanks Ron we will see you soon sir!

We met Ron at burnt store marina after about 10 minutes we were catching and releasing some very nice snook and a couple reds. We then moved out into the harbor and caught many Spanish Mackerel, we kept three nice ones. The next stop we were into Sea Trout one after the other also kept a few for the pan. Our half day trip was awesome out of the four of us we hooked up with well over 100 fish. Thanks Ron for a great day! We’ll be back.
